The teachers listed below are ones Henry knows and has referred with great results in the past. Please call or Email if you any questions about the teachers.
If you are a teacher and would like to be on our list, please send an email with your information.

Elisabeth Gaines
VIOLIN
(520)329-9372
Eastside : Having taught privately for 20 plus years, I find successful learning for violin includes correct bowing techniques combined with motivation to play a piece of music that the learner at some point wants to perform in public whether its for family members, friends or large audience. To achieve this, exercise type books like etudes, scales, bowing books, advanced position will be utilized. Perhaps a bit old fashioned, but it works. I do try to make it enjoyable in the process, because if the element of enjoyment is lacking, learners of all ages lose interest. I am no Suzuki teacher, but do believe in the mother tongue approach to a point, as modeling is a very strong form of learning. For the beginner working on intonation, I play along quite frequently. I have a masters in Education so I do understand the process of learning and how each individual is unique, and customize my teaching to match the needs of each student to the best of my abilities. I have taught learners ages 12-90 and all levels. My own expertise in performing is more private. However, as a youth growing up in Seattle, I played in Seattle youth symphony orchestra for many years, so I also understand children wanting to compete and being part of some of the great orchestras in the area.

Remote/Online: Seattle Area : I accept students of all ages and backgrounds, from a beginner level to a collegiate-preparatory level. I have been developing my teaching method for over ten years. My primary goal is to help my students understand the deep connections in themselves and between others that music can build. With the understanding that musical motivations are highly personalized, I work with each student to precisely define their goals and create a straightforward path towards achievement. My program is clear and concise, but highly adjusted for each individual. Starting with a strong foundation of technical work including scales, exercises, theoretical and note reading work, I ensure the optimal set up for each student to be able to play with confidence and comfort. I teach a variety of repertoire that is primarily classical, but I often supplement this with pieces from many other genres, especially any that the student has a particular interest in. I encourage all of my students to participate in group-learning environments, and keep them and their parents apprised of camps, competitions, and other performance opportunities available in their area.
