The Dreamers Circus at Emerald City Music

One fateful night in 2009, Ale and Rune were standing in the corner of a pub in Copenhagen jamming some folk tunes. Nikolaj just came in, sat at the piano, and began to play along. A decade later, Dreamers’ Circus has toured the world performing at the Sydney Opera House, with the Polish Orchestra Sinfonia, and more. This show marks the group’s first visit to the Pacific Northwest on this inaugural US Tour.

Seattle Collaborative Orchestra - Musical Metamorphosis

Seattle Collaborative Orchestra and the Saratoga Orchestra combine forces for a spring concert featuring works that were inspired by others, changing and metamorphosing the original into something new. Issaquah Philharmonic 3rd Annual Food Raiser Concert

The Issaquah Philharmonic Orchestra presents a free concert in support of the Issaquah Food Bank on May 20th at 7:30pm at Skyline High School. This is a family friendly event and children are welcomed. Please bring non-perishable food items to donate.
Bach's Complete Cello Suites, at Emerald City Music

The six cello suites of Johann Sebastian Bach are considered the Baroque composer’s most iconic set of chamber music. However, performing them in one marathon session is a bold and challenging feat for any cellist. British cellist Colin Carr returns to the Emerald City Music stages to conclude the season with this marathon full-evening performance of Bach’s complete Cello Suites.

Studio East has served the Eastside with summer theater camps and productions since 1993, and every summer we offer old favorites and exciting new programs. Our one and two-week camps are a great way to get a taste of theater, learn something new, or improve existing skills for students ages 4-19. At Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra summer camp, you’ll meet lots of other musicians who are just like you: serious about music—but not serious all the time! Kirkland Arts Center Summer Camps

In KAC’s Summer Art Camps, children ages 5-12 will make discoveries and learn new skills through use of a variety of mediums & techniques that include clay, paper, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, pastels, printmaking inks, and water-based paints. In KAC’s week-long teen intensives, students ages 13 and up will gain foundational skills in ceramics, observational drawing, painting, printmaking, and more.

Enhancing skills, enjoying the outdoors. Young artists can pick from a host of options all summer long at Icicle Creek – from summer symphony and piano to acting, musical theater and filmmaking. Alternative Rock Camp

Camp at Rock Academy is a fun, hands-on experience in creating a real rock band. We use alternative rock, punk, indie and grunge songs of the last 30 years as our curriculum. We rehearse as a band for one week then perform a show for family and friends.

Cougar String Camp
June 30 – July 5, 2019 Grades 8-12
Cougar String Camp is a chamber music/orchestra camp designed for intermediate* and advanced string players, grade 8-12, including those having just completed 7th grade, and those having just graduated from high school. Violinists, violists, cellists and bassists work with Washington State University faculty and other fine musicians to improve their musical skills in a variety of ways.

CYSO has perfected the music day camp experience. Musicians of all ages and skill levels who have played their instrument for over three years come together to inspire and be inspired by participating in both the full symphonic orchestra and the intimate lively art of chamber music. Instrumental sections are given professional coaching.

Tuned In! Summer Student Festival is an intensive and comprehensive week-long musical learning experience for middle school, high school, and college students. Tuned In! takes place July 8-13, 2019, ending with a gala student performance on Saturday for friends and family. The festival mixes serious education with lots of fun, in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
Summer String Academy

A unique overnight camp connecting middle school students with professional musicians. Have your child enjoy the beautiful scenery of the foothills of the Eastern Cascades. The lush green oasis of the Lazy F Camp and Retreat is nestled in the crisp golden scenery of Manastash Canyon. Daily visits from deer families add to the peaceful backdrop of trees, fields, ponds, and mountains. Manastash Creek gracefully flows through the center of the camp.
Marrowstone Music Festival
July 21 – August 4, 2019
The Marrowstone Music Festival, founded in 1943, is the largest and most comprehensive summer orchestral training program in the Pacific Northwest. Every summer over 200 musicians, ages 14 to 25, come from over 30 states and several countries to study with our internationally acclaimed faculty at the campus of Western Washington University in Bellingham. During this intense two-week program students are immersed in orchestral and chamber music rehearsals, master classes, and more.
Birch Bay String Teachers' Workshop

The workshop is of interest to private studio and public school string teachers at all levels, and to college/university students preparing for a music education career. Each year, participants from all over the country and from foreign nations attend.
Midsummer Musical Retreat A “Music Camp For Grown-Ups”

MMR provides a non-competitive but challenging curriculum for adult singers and instrumentalists. The week-long festival workshop includes orchestra, band, string orchestra, chorus, jazz big band, chamber ensembles and electives in an hospitable, “Retreat” atmosphere. The strength of MMR lies at the exciting intersection of a committed, supportive, professional faculty, thrilling repertoire, and enthusiastic campers.
20th Annual Youth Chamber Music Camp
August 13-17, 2019
Our Camp provides an alternative to music camps focused on large ensembles and orchestral playing. Instead, we offer an intensive five days of chamber music rehearsals in groups of 3 to 5 students working intimately with professional musicians who specialize in chamber music.
Icicle Creek Adult Chamber Music Retreat
September 19-22, 2019
For this popular event, each ensemble chooses its own music selection and works together through the weekend coaching sessions, culminating in a final participant performance on Sunday afternoon. Registration for pre-formed ensembles of four or more players is preferred, but there are often opportunities to place individual performers as well.
